As a licensed real estate broker, mortgage lender, developer, and investor, he has been active in all aspects of real estate and mortgage lending for over 25 years. He is considered one of the leading experts in foreclosure and distressed properties. Speare has bought and sold over 1,000 properties and non-performing loans for his own portfolio, in addition to representing his clients. He began investing in real estate in the early 1980s and became licensed by the California Department of Real Estate in 1984.
